The Big Bass Sets Sail As the title suggests, here Sean's big bass goes asailing. Later it manages to catch up to a group of drunken Cajuns headed south to Yucatan. What I most love about playing with Sean is the guy's ear for melody. He has a kind of playful soulfulness that I have rarely encountered. You really hear that quality here and on the instrumental interlude to "Waiting". Steve Amadee does some super brush work, giving the composition the feel that someone has a great big Kitchen-Aid mixer churning up a treat in the background. I just chomp on 9 chords and try to keep up with the flotilla. |
